How I Work?

Every dog has a story. Some carry fear, some live with stress, and others struggle to trust. My approach is about listening first, guiding second. I don’t use shock collars, prong collars, intimidation, or quick-fix tricks.

Instead, I use calm, relationship-based methods built on trust that create real understanding for the dog. The goal isn’t just obedience — it’s helping your dog feel safe, so you can both relax and be happy.

Testimonials

— Thomas & “Duke” (Rescue Mix, Extreme Anxiety & Trust Issues)

Duke didn’t bite or bark — he just wouldn’t let anyone near him. He avoided eye contact, flinched if I moved too fast, and refused to take food from my hand. I’ve had dogs my whole life, but I’d never experienced this kind of emotional shutdown. I felt helpless.

Reather didn’t force it. He didn’t lure Duke in with treats or pressure him with commands. He just sat near him calmly and gave him space. Within minutes, Duke walked over and leaned against him. I’d never seen him choose connection like that.

After a few sessions, Duke started following me around the house — by choice, not fear. He allows gentle touch now. He even wags when I come home.

I didn’t just hire a trainer — I found someone who helped my dog feel safe enough to try again.

— Amanda & “Remi” (Golden Retriever, First-Time Puppy Parents)

We were drowning in advice from friends, family, and the internet — “Be the alpha,” “Use an air horn,” “Don’t let the puppy win.” None of that felt right. Remi was sweet but nonstop chaos — jumping, mouthing, pulling on the leash, ignoring us completely.

Working with Reather was the first time someone told us we didn’t have to “dominate” our dog to get results. He showed us calm, playful ways to teach boundaries without yelling or bribing with endless treats. Within just a couple sessions, Remi was greeting us politely, enjoying the walks, and actually checking in with us instead of tuning us out.

Best part? Our relationship feels stronger than ever. We’re not just surviving puppyhood — we’re enjoying it.

— Alicia & “Luna”

(Rescue, Freeze/Shut Down)

My dog was shut down. She would just stare through me like she wasn’t really here. I didn’t even realize how much I was holding my breath around her, constantly worrying. Reather’s approach blended training, energy work, and emotional support in a way I’ve never experienced. Luna is finally playing and showing personality. And I feel more confident as her guardian. It was truly life-changing.
